Ticket prices:

Adult - £20
Child - £12

The price per ticket will contribute towards the costs of running the event, including parking and venue hire.  There will be no hidden costs on the day, only optional extras such as merchandise and refreshments. Tickets and donations help us to provide our dogs with a warm kennel, food, and a dedicated professional team including carers, trainers and vets.

Can I bring dogs to the event?

add remove

Our national event is dog friendly, however, please consider whether your dog would be comfortable at a busy event with other dogs and children present. If your dog does not react well in busy situations or with other dogs and children, then we would strong advise against bringing your dog. When purchasing your ticket please specify how many dogs will be attending.

We've provided a handy flowchart to help you assess whether your dog may of may not enjoy attending our national event.

Can I bring children to the event?

add remove

The Walk for Our Old Friends national event is family friendly and is suitable for children to attend. The distance of the walk is 3.5km, in case you need to bring along a buggy for little legs that might get tired.

However, as there will be lots of other people and dogs at this event, they may not be suitable for children who are anxious around dogs or who find large groups of people overwhelming. If your child is anxious around dogs, we have resources available which may help.

Once you have signed up, a confirmation will be sent to your email address and you will have access to a digital WOOF fundraising pack. add remove

Parking is free, although we require you to input your car registration number upon check out when purchasing your ticket for the event. If you do not provide us with your vehicle registration number, we will not be able to reserve a parking space for you.

Why do I need to provide my vehicle registration?

add remove

The car park at the event uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR). For smooth access to the event, we will require this information prior to the event.

Is the walk accessible?

add remove

The route we have chosen is accessible for everyone. There is one section less suitable for pushchairs and mobility aids, although we have identified a different route to take for those needing extra consideration.

Why do you want a photo and/or name of my beloved one?

add remove

We are hoping to include these names and images in the walk itself to really capture the spirt of who we are remembering. This is completely optional, and supporters can choose as they wish.

Will there be refreshments available?

add remove

Refreshments will be available to purchase on site for the duration of the event.
