I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines with Dogs Trust this February!
Hi Everyone,
We're Sasha and Molly, and this February we are taking part in the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! We will be walking 99km for Dogs Trust throughout February to raise money for all the dogs in their care.
In addition, we are concurrently raising money for Marie Curie, to help them support people at the end of their life. The target distance for the Marie fundraiser is 100km. As we are raising money for both Dogs Trust and Marie Curie, we are aiming to walk the combined distance of both fundraisers (199km) this February. We hope to raise a minimum of £300 for each charity.
We feel passionately about supporting these two charities. Molly became part of my life on 21st September 2024, after I rescued her from the RSPCA. Molly has become a central part of my world and has been my best friend and ally through some unexpectedly difficult months. I hope that we can support more dogs like Molly to find loving and safe homes, and spend the rest of their lives happy, secure, and cared for. In 2023, Marie Curie provided support to my Nan at the end of her life, which in turn helped to support my mother, who had become her full-time carer. We would love nothing more than to meet and surpass our fundraising goals this month and would value any support that helps us get there. This may include a monetary donation, but we'd also love it if you could share our pages with family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, etc.

Dogs Trust aims to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2023, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help, Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2025 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.
