I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines with Dogs Trust this February!

I’m making a positive start to 2025 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise money for all the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2023, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2025 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.

My Updates

So much work!

Could only make it out for a quick 2 mile walk around Shustoke Reservoir today as I have so much work to do! It’s disappointing but still great that Month and I managed to get out for some fresh air!

New Boots!

Today was an exciting milestone as my new walking boots finally arrived – and, of course, I had to take them out for a spin. There’s no better place to put them to the test than Kingsbury Water Park. It’s one of my favourite spots for walking, and tonight’s brisk walk didn’t disappoint. Racing the sunset made it all the more rewarding as I clocked up a few more kilometres towards the 99k target. What makes this challenge so special is knowing that every step counts towards helping dogs in need. Staying active while supporting such a meaningful cause is a win-win – and it’s keeping me motivated to keep pushing forward. 🐾 So far, I’ve completed 22 out of 99km – and I’m determined to keep up the momentum! Thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far – together, we’re making a difference. Stay tuned for more updates as I get closer to the finish line.

Kingsbury Water Park with Charlie!

Monty is exhausted after our 7-mile hike yesterday, so Charlie volunteered for join me today! Charlie is 13, so we took a gentle 3.5 mile stroll around Kingsbury Water Park. The views were wonderful… who doesn’t love the water?!

Our First Hike of February!

Monty and I took on a 7-mile hike around Sutton Park, and it was an experience, to say the least! The place was packed, the mud was next-level, but Monty was a little legend. He handled the chaos like a champ, even with his anxiety. I just wish he could’ve enjoyed it as much as I hoped he would—maybe next time!
