As you can see in the photo above theres a handsome chap with a huge smile on his face. This is Rico, a beautiful soul we rescued from our local DogsTrust and he’s been a blessing upon this family since. Although he’s now 11 and starting to get old he’s still a puppy full of youth at heart. Not only was he rescued, without him knowing he also become the rescuer. From the day we got Rico he has helped me with my mental health and continues to do so, inspiring me with his beaming smile and wagging tail every-time he greats me. He’s taught me a lot over the years without ever saying a word to me.
This is our chance to give a massive thank you to DogsTrust from myself and from Rico.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2023, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2025 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.
