I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines with Dogs Trust this February!

I’m making a positive start to 2025 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise money for all the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2023, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2025 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.

Day 18 of 99k for Canines - 99k HIT!!

Today I walked 7k and hit 100km!!!!! Baby Ralphie has some booties so can walk a short distance but we are so happy to have hit our target and raised money for other doggies at dogs trust :)

We have hit 93k!!!!

7k walk today to town and through spinningfields, Ralphie boy tucked up at home

2k today on my own and 1k with Ralphie, his paws still aren’t good!

Only 2km today with Ralphie as he’s still recovering and he’s spent today with his Dobie friend Yogi whilst his parents are away for the day!

Ralphie joined us for a wander today, he’s doing much better with his paw paws all strapped up! So happy he’s happy!

70k hit today, 7k today :-) doing it on my own still as Ralphie recovers. Miss having my little man with me

Nearly at 60km! 6k done today, mostly by myself, we managed to take Ralphie for a wander in the park today because he’s been sad at home. He’s had his little boots put on to protect his damaged paws :)

Another day of walking without my little man :( it’s not as fun without Ralphie. He’s still recovering but is very sad.

Walking without Ralphie at the moment whilst he recovers from his injuries at home. Slow 7k wander around the city, a few stops here and there including at Half Dozen Other to eat ourselves into feeling better

Day 8 of 99k for Canines

Sadly Ralphie was attacked today by teenagers but managed to escape mostly unharmed. He has damaged his feet so we may not be able to walk for a few days depending on his recovery :( we did a lovely 6k and played in the park until he was attacked and ran off. He’s home safe and sound now and that’s all that matters. 💔

Another little 5k, really struggling with my bad knee but sunshine makes it better!!!

BEAUTIFUL DAY TO WALK 5K

Between a Pilates class and a work we were short for time so we managed a little 3.5k, going top speed so sports mode had to be activated

6k walk today up through Old Trafford & the parks round there, took us a lot longer cos Ralphie was being an idiot on his lead!!

9km added to the tally today, 5k of this done with The Health Lab walk club <3 14km done!
