I’m running 100 Miles in October with Dogs Trust!

This October, I'm challenging myself to run 100 miles for Dogs Trust. Every mile I complete will help raise vital funds for dogs in need, giving them the care, support, and second chance they deserve.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.

Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.

Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners. The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. If you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be incredibly grateful – and so would the dogs!

Thank you for helping me reach my goal 🐾

Why I’m Running 100 Miles This October for Dogs Trust

This October, I’m lacing up my running shoes for a challenge that goes well beyond the pavement: covering 100 miles over the month to raise vital funds for Dogs Trust.

There’s a reason dogs have held the title of "man’s best friend" for generations. The sheer loyalty and unconditional love they offer is unmatched by anything else. They don't care about your bad days, your mistakes, or your background—they just offer pure, honest companionship.

Yet, as a society, we fail them far too often. Too many dogs are treated as disposable cash cows—bred for quick profit, used for racing, and discarded the moment they get older, slower, or injured. Once their "value" runs out, they are abandoned before ever being given a genuine chance to live as a loved family pet. Driven by weak legislation and a lack of proper legal protections, dog shelters across the UK are completely full and under immense pressure.

I firmly believe that every single dog deserves a second, third, and even fourth chance at a happy, safe life. That applies to every dog, regardless of breed. No animal should be written off because of an injury, a bad start, or a human's failure to give them the care they deserve.

Clocking 100 miles in a month is going to take some grit, but it’s my way of doing my bit. It’s a chance to support the relentless, incredible work Dogs Trust does every single day to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome the dogs that need us most.

If you’re able to donate, share my updates, or simply send a bit of encouragement while I get the miles under my belt, it would mean the world. Let’s help give these dogs the life they actually deserve.
