I’m running the 2027 London Marathon for Dogs Trust!
I'm Thomas and I couldn't be more excited to be supporting the mission of Dogs Trust by helping raise important funds to give as many dogs as possible a loving, caring, and safe home - I'll be doing that by being on Team Underdog and running the 2027 London Marathon for this effort!
The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.
For me, London, a place I called home for 6 years and somewhere that holds such a special place in my heart feels like the perfect place to physically suffer through 26.2 miles to support dogs and families in need!
My wife, Megan, and I couldn't imagine life without our dog, Bunker - his love and affection is such a huge part of our family dynamic. Getting Bunker really showed us the good, but also the tough, parts of adding a dog to the family - understanding how to incorporate Bunker's needs into our routines to ensure he lives the best life possible.
That's why Dogs Trust and their vision of intervention and education for dog owners resonated with me so much - it's not just about rehoming dogs (although in the unfortunate event it does happen, Dogs Trust has an incredible track record of giving dogs a second chance at a loving house), but about giving dog families the resources, knowledge, and understanding of how to make their home an environment that gives dogs the life they deserve.
As we get closer to the marathon, I'll have updates on some fun ways I plan to maximize my fundraising goals, I would be so grateful if you considered supporting this amazing cause by donating to our efforts on this page!
