Rufus the Floofy Doof is taking on 100 miles for Dogs Trust! 🐾
This October, Rufus and I are taking on the challenge of walking 100 miles to raise money for Dogs Trust.
Every mile we walk will help raise vital funds to support dogs in need — giving them the care, support and second chance they deserve. 🐶❤️
Dogs Trust works to give stray and abandoned dogs the best possible chance of a happy future, including finding loving new homes when they’re unable to stay with their original families.
And the numbers show just how much that work matters. In 2025, Dogs Trust cared for 11,374 dogs at its rehoming centres across the UK and Ireland and found forever homes for 10,023 dogs. They also supported 25,000 dog owners through their behaviour services and helped deliver nearly one million meals for dogs through FareShare food banks. (Dogs Trust)
For every £1 donated to Dogs Trust, 72p goes towards caring for dogs, with 27p reinvested in fundraising and 1p going towards governance. (Dogs Trust)
So, over the next few weeks, Rufus and I will be pounding the pavements, sniffing every. single. interesting. bush, investigating suspicious patches of grass, and stopping for approximately 847 completely necessary treats. 😂🐾
Hopefully, somewhere between all the sniffing and snack breaks, we’ll manage to clock up those 100 miles!
