Running This Years Edinburgh Marathon for The Dogs Trust

Above picture is Lenny & Lexi while residents at The Dogs Trust West Calder Feb 2017, before I was lucky enough to rehome them.

Hi everyone, I am running the 2026 Edinburgh Marathon for the Dogs Trust. As you may or may not know my 2 dogs Lenny & Lexi who are both coming up for 10 were originally from the Dogs Trust. They were found as strays at just 6 months old, and due to the amazing work by the West Calder branch I was able to give them their forever home just a few weeks later. In the attached picture you can see a picture of them back in 2017 while residents at The Dogs Trust!

When I visited the Dogs Trust you could see how amazing the facility was amazing, the dogs are so well looked after and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They do such amazing work all over the UK so I couldn’t be happier to fundraise for them while pushing myself to run the Edinburgh Marathon.

I have done 3 marathons’ previously and (very randomly) always been stuck on the same time of 4hrs 20mins. This year I am determined to try and get a sub 4 hour time. It’s starting to get into the last few weeks of training, where all the long hard runs start so I’m pushing myself hard, and your donation would mean the world to me, and most importantly make a difference to an amazing organisation who love and care for many dogs all over the UK.

Times are tough I totally understand, but if you can spare anything in a donation I would be so grateful.

Thank you so much

Ross, Lenny & Lexi!

Disgusted to be wearing a Celtic strip this weekend

As part of my fundraising I have decided to do a half marathon event I am running in this weekend in a Celtic football strip. As a huge Rangers fan this is not something I ever planned or wanted to do...actually it's something I promised myself I would never ever wear, but here we are! It's for a fantastic cause which is the main thing, and I'm sure everyone will enjoy seeing the pictures at the end!

Very grateful the Dogs Trust supply you with a t-shirt for the full marathon event so I only have to wear it once!
