The Great British Loop: Miles for Animals
My friend and I are keen road cyclists, and we want every kilometre we ride to mean something. For us, that meaning is helping those who can’t protect themselves.
When my partner Weronika and I took in a 3.5-month-old mixed-breed puppy as a foster, I didn’t expect to fall in love so deeply or to feel such a strong need to help animals. That little pup quickly became part of our small family.
Because we love a challenge, we’re going to ride around the British Isles on road bikes, nearly 4,000 km in total. Everyone is welcome to join us, even if it’s just for a short section. We’ll also be inviting well-known riders and cycling creators from UK to join selected stages and help spread the word.
That’s our goal: big miles, real impact for animals in need. 🐾🚴♂️
The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.
Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners.
The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. If you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be incredibly grateful – and so would the dogs!
Thank you.
