I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon with Dogs Trust!
I’m running the 2026 London Landmarks Half Marathon for Dogs Trust!
On the 23rd of May 2025 I had to accept that Coco, my dog of 14 years would have to be put to rest due to old age and various illnesses. Coco was blessed to have the best life, due to all the efforts of my family. He slept on a bed, always had food and could freely roam around.
I am not ready to let go, but I have to be kind to him and do right by him. I feel that by running this half marathon I’ll be to keep his memory alive longer whilst I process what I need to process.
All dogs deserve to be loved and I wish everyone could feel the love of a dog at least once in their life. It’s truly the best thing ever. Coco showed me unconditional love in ways I cannot describe. I wouldn’t have the strength to write this after hence me doing this now.
I will honour him and carry on speaking about him for the rest of my life, but Coco would’ve wanted to help other dogs.
If you would like to donate in memory of Coco feel free to but if not don’t worry.
For anybody who stayed this long to read, thank you.
I love you Coco ❤️

It's so commendable that Coco's legacy goes on, in order to help others and their dogs who are going through troubled times. God bless and make sure you raise your knees high during training. Best wishes from your brother from another mother.

Watching you prepare for this half marathon has shown me just how strong and loving you are. You gave Coco the best life for 14 years and now you’re turning your pain into something that will help other dogs. That takes so much courage. He’d be so proud of you too. All the best!
