Own Place

I’m running my first Half Marathon supporting Dogs Trust!

I’ve secured my own place at the AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run (on May 4th 2025) and I am helping raise money for dogs in need with Dogs Trust - for dogs less fortunate than my very spoilt and loved sausage dogs, Sid and Nancy (@sidney_minisausage on Instagram and other social media).

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2023, they were able to successfully rehome over 10,000 dogs and cared for a total of 13,375 dogs (including over 300 Underdogs who had been with Dogs Trust for more than 6 months). With your help, Dogs Trust can continue helping more dogs in 2025 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.

The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with support like yours, if you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be extremely grateful – and so would the dogs!

Thank you.

My Updates

Tomorrow’s the day 🤩

THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who sponsored me! Thank you for believing in me and for kindly donating to help dogs in need! Honestly buzzing for tomorrow, can not wait! 💛

Longest run to date today, 18k in 2hrs without pushing my pace, pretty pleased with that 🏃🏻‍♀️

My Dogs Trust vest is here! 🥰

Look what arrived today - it’s starting to feel more real now!

Training update!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated so far! 🫶🏻

Training is going really well and I’m loving my running.
I’m now mixing up my training routine, throwing in one long run per week (15k ish), interval work and tempo runs - alternated with strength training and Bodypump classes at the gym, and Yoga on Tuesday evenings.

A pair of trail running shoes were on my Christmas list, so if Father Christmas is generous I’ll soon be able to alternate between gym and outdoor runs again - our neighbourhood is so muddy so I can’t use my only pair of proper running shoes outdoors at the moment so they remain fit for the gym!

Physiotherapy complete!

Following a patella tendon injury in late summer, my running was suddenly put on hold.
Fast forward to early November, I have now completed a course of physiotherapy, gradually re-introducing running back into my routine.

Upping weekly mileage by only around 10% per week, I am planning on seeing some bigger distance and pace increases from January, when I’ll start training for my Half Marathon properly.

Thank you to my Sponsors
