Dogs Trust Fundraiser

🏃‍♂️ Running My First Half Marathon for Dogs Trust — Sunday 8th March 2026

This March, I’ll be taking on my first ever half marathon in Colchester, Essex — and I’m proud to be running in support of Dogs Trust, a charity that means a great deal to me and my partner.

In 2023, we adopted our three‑year‑old Connie — a Staffie Ridgeback cross — from Dogs Trust Basildon. She’s brought so much joy into our lives, and knowing how much care, patience, and dedication the Dogs Trust team invested into her journey makes this fundraiser deeply personal. Their work changes lives, and Connie is living proof of that.

Dogs Trust’s mission is simple but vital: to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, loving owners. Last year alone, they cared for 11,707 dogs, rehomed 9,914, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks. With the ongoing cost-of-living pressures, the support they provide is more important than ever.

Their work is only possible because of donations from people like you.
If you’re able to make a small contribution, it truly goes a long way — helping provide food, medical care, warmth, training, and the safety every dog deserves while they wait for their forever home.

Thank you so much for your support — it means the world to me, to Connie, and to the dogs still waiting for their chance. 🐾💛

Sub-2 Hour Success! 🏆

09/03/2026 WE DID IT! 🏁 I am absolutely thrilled to share that I crossed the finish line with a time of 01:51:49! After those weeks of knee struggles and recovery, hitting my goal of going sub-2 hours feels incredible. More importantly, thanks to your amazing generosity, we have raised nearly £700 for a cause that means so much. Your comments, donations, and "strength" vibes truly pushed me through those final miles when the legs wanted to quit. There is still a tiny bit of time left if you’d like to help me smash that £700 milestone before the page closes! Thank you all for being part of this journey. Time for some serious rest (and maybe a very large pizza). 🍕✨ Final post and raised reveal this Sunday 15th March 2026! 🥁

Race week is here! 🏁

02/03/2026 - It’s finally here! 🏁 Just 6 days until the big event. The hard miles are done, and now it’s all about the final stretch. Let’s make these last few days count—if you’ve been meaning to donate, there is no better time than now to help me hit my goal!

Just over a week to go! 😱

28/02/2026 - The home stretch Just over a week to go! To be totally honest, the knees are still being a bit stubborn, so I’m focusing on recovery to make sure I’m ready for the big day. I could really use a boost—send me your best training strength and good vibes!

Moving again! 🚵‍♂️

23/02/2026 - Back at it! The knees are feeling much better after some much-needed rest, so I’m easing back into light training today. The finish line is getting closer, and I’m feeling more motivated than ever to cross it for a great cause. Thanks for sticking with me!

29k in the bag and now rest! 😩

18/02/2026 - 29 kilometers in the bag! 🏃💨 It was an epic effort, but my knees are definitely telling me it’s time to switch to 'rest and recover' mode for a few days. Every mile is powered by your incredible support—thank you for helping me get this far!

Breaking News: New Shoes 1 - Weather 0 🌧️👟

15/02/2026 I treated myself to a "lovely" 9K in the pouring rain and blistering cold this morning, all in the name of breaking in the new gear. Honestly, the shoes handled the puddles and the freezing wind much better than my spirit did! The new soles are officially broken in and currently living by the radiator until further notice. Keep a sharp eye out for these bright beauties on race day—they’ll likely be the only part of me not covered in mud or questioning my life choices. My knees have already officially requested a retirement package, but we’re pushing on regardless! #NewKneeNeeded #DogsTrust #MarathonTraining #RainyRun #FreshKicks

The Valentine’s Day 'Date' No One Asked For 🏃‍♂️🐕

14/02/2026 20km done with the sun making an appearance! My partner is probably wondering if I’m ever coming home, but the dog and I had other plans involving a lot of sweat and zero chocolate. The Breakdown: Distance: 20km (Legs are officially on strike). Vibe: Stunning spring morning. ☀️ Countdown: Under 3 weeks to go! 😱 Massive thanks to everyone who has sponsored me so far—it’s the only thing keeping me from calling an Uber at the 15km mark! #MarathonTraining #ValentinesDayRun #20kmDone #DogsTrust #AlmostThere
