2025 Great Manchester Run 10K

I’m taking part in the Great Manchester Run 10K with Dogs Trust!

Dogs are mint. If you don't love dogs, you probably will soon; trust me.

The pup you can see in my profile picture is Tina. She's a rescue dog and an absolute delight. I want to do a little something to help dogs that were in her paws not too long ago.

Dogs need cuddles, not cages, and that's why I’m helping raise money for dogs in need by joining the 2025 Great Manchester Run 10K with Dogs Trust.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.

In 2023, Dogs Trust successfully rehomed more than 10,000 dogs and cared for a total of 13,375 dogs (including over 300 Underdogs who had been with Dogs Trust for more than 6 months).

The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with support like yours, if you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be extremely grateful – and so would the dogs!

Thank you.

Halfway there! How your donation will be used

Thanks to all the top-tier human beings who have donated so far' you're paws-itively brilliant.

When you donate to charity, it isn't always clear where the money goes and how it is used. But I spotted this tasty chunk of info on the DogsTrust website that provides a lot of clarification:

- £10 could provide a new training lead for one of our newest four-legged residents.

- £20 buys a cosy, comfy dog bed.

- £35.80 could cover the cost of looking after a dog for a day at one of our rehoming centres.

- £150 funds a Dog School training class in your local area, helping owners feel confident and empowered and helping them to build an everlasting bond with their pups.

- £350 could help us provide care for a whole week, including any vet care they might need.

---

So there you go, further confirmation you did a proper nice thing hitting that donate button.

On a related note, training has been going well. I've been getting out doing two - maybe three - runs a week, so feeling very much on the right track so far 💪

I've attached a picture of today's run with my massive fod.

More updates soon!
