I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines challenge with Dogs Trust!

I’m making a positive start to 2026 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise vital funds for the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.

Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.

Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners. The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. If you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be incredibly grateful – and so would the dogs!

Thank you.

My Updates

Day 7

Missed a day due to hospital treatment, but we managed 2.5km today, bit of a short one due to not feeling great well

Day 6

Got another 5km done today that 39km in total, only 60km to before the end of feb 🤞 we manage it

Day 5

Missed another day again yesterday as still feeling ill, but today managed 5km whilst still feeling terrible which takes me down to 65km to do before the end of feb

Day 4

Missed a few days due to sickness, but managed 10km today which is the most weve walked in one day, thats leaves us with 70km to go 💪😊😮‍💨

Day 3

Bit of a late start, so id planned to just walk around my local park as many times as it took me to reach 6km but unfortunately it got too dark so after walking around the park 5 times we ended up walking the streets around in circles, back and forth until we reached 6km which takes me to 19km in 3 days so I only have 80km to do by the end of feb 😁

Day 2

Got out walking earlier than expected today, so started with a walk around the park then walked the streets and then finished with another loop around the park and saw plenty of Robins completed 7km 🥰

Day 1

First day figuring out how far 6km is, ended up going in circles to get the distance. But our local park is full of wildlife so its nice to see that whilst walking
