Yikes!
So this year I turn 50! It's my birthday the day after the Great North Run and ten years ago I ran the course in just under 2.5 hours.Now that I'm older, my body definitely feels different and I haven't been running for a long time so I'll be honest with you and disclose that at this time of signing up I have some serious misgivings about this journey! Nonetheless, I'll be running in memory of my beautiful Amaya who I lost aged 15 1/2 in 2022 and for all the wonderful dogs like him who deserve all the love that he had.
Amaya and his sparky little cousin Kiko pictured here with me, had the good fortune to be born into circumstances which almost guaranteed they had a loving home, but sadly not all dogs are that lucky, and I want to be able to do a little something to help them find their people.
I hope to do you proud Amaya my boy. Forevermore my love. X
