I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines challenge with Dogs Trust!

I’m making a positive start to 2026 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise vital funds for the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.

Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.

Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners. The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. Week 3

Hello, Jack here!

It's been a busy week and we are now entering the last stretch. It was half term for my human and we went to a lot of places and took lots of photos, even though the weather wasn't the best.

A lot of km have been added and we have now reached 87km - just 12km to go!

We've smashed our target and we are still getting very kind donations, including £2 from a lovely passerby in Nantwich who saw me wearing my yellow bandana!

Week 2 Update

Hello, Jack here!

What a week! Despite the very wet weather, we managed to reach 56km - We walked mostly locally with Lucy and my furry friends Connie and Alfie. You can see on the photos how proud Lucy is to wear her yellow bandana.1 On Saturday, with the weather being nice, I went on a 9km walk on the Wirral way and had a scrummy pup cup at the end.

We are now more than halfway through distance wise!

We also reached, and then surpassed our fundraising target. Thank you to everyone who has donated - and thank you to Becky, Rachel and Max who donated cash.

Another 2 weeks to go, lets see how much we can raise for this great cause.

First week update!

Hello,

We are now one week into our challenge and despite the wet and cold weather, we have done nearly a third of our walking target! We've also raised nearly half of our target!

Hello!

Hello! I’m Jack Fox. I’m a six-year-old Corgi cross Jack Russell rescue.

I was very lucky to be adopted by JC, Meriel and my best doggy friend Lucy (who’s also a rescue) and I want to help other dogs find their forever homes.

I only have little legs, but I am very determined to complete the 99k challenge and raise money for the Dogs Trust.

Lucy will be coming with me although as she is now the grand age of 17, she will keep company on the shorter excursions, and I will bravely go on grand adventures, rain or snow over the next month to meet my goal!
