100 Miles in October Challenge

I’m running 100 Miles in October with Dogs Trust!

This October, I'm challenging myself to walkĀ 100 miles for Dogs Trust. Every mile I complete will help raise vital funds for dogs in need, giving them the care, support, and second chance they deserve.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.

Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs. And one of them dogs was Heidi, she wasn’t even one years old when she was abandon on the street. And then when me and my partner first seen Heidi we fell in love straight away. And heidi has been apart of our family for the past year! Dogs trust also helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.

Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners. The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. If you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be incredibly grateful – and so would the dogs!

Thank you for helping me reach my goal 🐾

Heidi’s story

Heidi's story is so close to our hearts. She wasn't even a year old when she was abandoned on the streets, and when Dogs Trust found her, they had no information about her and she was poorly also.Ā

When my partner and I visited Dogs Trust to find a furry friend, a wonderful woman said she had the perfect match for us. That's when we saw Heidi's file.

After discussing all the help Heidi would need, we couldn't wait to meet her. And when we did, we fell in love instantly! We were so excited to bring her home the following weekend! And ended up picking her up the day after valentine’s Day, as we just couldn’t wait until the weekend to bring her home šŸ” ever since she has became apart of our family it’s been one big adventure. Of us learning everything she likes to all of the outdoors adventures she’s goes on. She’s been paddle boarding, kayaking, loads of hikes, camping and a load of beach trips that she loves!Ā
