London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026

I’m taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon with Dogs Trust!

Running for Milly & Molly❤️

For the two souls who made my world, and my heart, feel full.

In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of Milly and Molly. They were my beautiful cocker spaniels, my companions, my heart dogs, and my reason for being.

Molly passed in September 2023, and Milly followed in May 2025. Losing them both has been unbearable. They were with me through everything, every joy, heartbreak, illness, loneliness and they gave me a kind of love I’ve never known from another soul. Gentle, constant, intuitive. They didn’t need words to understand me, they just knew.

Milly was my shadow, my best friend, my purpose. She loved cheese more than life itself, she would mooch/walk around for hours on end, she once stole a heap of frozen chicken nuggets, and would somehow get stuck halfway under her bed while scratching her ears, as there was nothing she loved more than an ear rub. She’d tap on the mirror to go out for a wee at night (no idea why) and then do a dramatic backwards jump when I opened the actual door. She gave unconditional love, and would always put my needs first.

Molly was my crazy sidekick, my best friend, my purpose, and she was just as chaotic. She had serious little dog syndrome, licked anything in sight, and would pass wind without shame, she lived by her own rules and was never scared of doing what she wanted. She’d wee in every new place she visited and give you the dirtiest look if you dared disturb her, but she would also lick my tears away anytime I was upset, as under all that attitude was the softest, most loyal heart.

They both made me laugh every single day. And they were there, truly there, through the hardest parts of my life.

I have fibromyalgia and multiple joint issues, and training for this will be a physical and emotional mountain, that I don’t think has quite sunk in yet. But I want to do something brave, and something full of heart, for them

I’m raising money for Dogs Trust, a charity that gives dogs in need a second chance at the kind of love Milly and Molly had fortunately always known. Some dogs don’t get this opportunity, and whilst I unfortunately can’t adopt every dog at every centre, there is something I can do to help, and that’s why I am doing this. That’s the legacy I want to create for them, and in their name.

If you’re able to donate, thank you.

And if you’ve just taken the time to read this - thank you too.

They were mine, and I was theirs.

And every step I take now, I take with them beside me.
