I’m taking part in PAW Patrol on a Stroll this October!
We’re taking part in a very special mission to raise funds for Dogs Trust this October. We’ll be going on a sponsored walk, wearing our PAW Patrol masks and becoming heroes for the day to help dogs in need across the UK.
Lily loves dogs and paw patrol so this was a no brainier!
Every penny raised from PAW Patrol on a Stroll will help Dogs Trust continue to provide life-changing care and forever homes for more dogs in need, so we really appreciate all your support.
I have had to shelve my plans to tackle my own walking challenge for this year so this seemed like a good alternative. Plus lily really wanted to come with me and we thought my challenge of 12 miles of the Thames Path was too for little legs!
I asked Lily what our target walk should be and she said 5 miles. I thought this might be a bit ambitious so we agreed 3 miles as she can usually manage 2.5 and wanted it to be a challenge!

We did it!
We decided to go ahead this weekend since the weather was in our favour. We had no Dad to rescue us though which was risky! We decided to go to one of our favourite places, Ducklington Lake, also a popular place with dog walkers. We have always driven though, once cycling, due to the distance. Lily did amazing, managing about 3.25 miles before I carried her the rest of the way home. Our walk included 3 park trips, at least 2 dog strokes and 1 ice cream. We also spent a long time watching the football, crossing a few floods and making friends with a ladybird. Our walk took 4-5 hours but actual walking time was just over 2 hours. Thank you everyone!
