I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines with Dogs Trust this February!

I’m making a positive start to 2024 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise money for all the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2022, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2024 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.

My Updates

Grand total

Thursday 29th Feb
So far, a disappointing 65.5 km. We blame the weather.

End of the month!

Thursday 29th Feb
Sorry for not posting more updates.
Over the last couple of weeks, between us we've managed a further 26 miles (42.5km).
We would have done more but the weather hasn't really been co-operating!

Day 7

Thursday 8th Feb
Amber walked home from school, doing 5K and my walking to the station and around Liverpool gave me 5.5K. Slow but steady wins the race!

Day 1, off to a good start

Thursday 1st Feb
Amber walked home from school today, that's 3 miles, and Carol walked to the station this morning and then part of the way home with Amber today, that's 4.5 miles, so a total of 12km for day 1.

99K for Canines
