Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge!
I’m making a positive start to 2026 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise vital funds for the dogs in their care.
The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners.
Last year, they cared for 11,707 dogs across the UK and Ireland, rehomed 9,914 dogs, and helped deliver nearly one million meals to dogs in need through Fareshare foodbanks.
Your support helps them continue this vital work, especially as the cost of living crisis adds increased pressures for dog owners. The work of Dogs Trust is only possible with donations like yours. If you’re able to make a small contribution, I know they’d be incredibly grateful – and so would the dogs!
Thank you.

My Updates
99K Completed 🤩🌟🎉✨️🎊🐶
So I finished the official challenge today by completing 99k of walking this month to raise money for Dogs Trust! Feeling pretty pleased with my progress 😊 but I'll keep plodding on for the rest of the month with the hope of inspiring a little more sponsorship! 🙏😁😘
Day 15 - Nearly at the target! 👣👣👣
Walked just over 7k today and now only have 10 more to go until I reach the 99k target! 😁💪🙃 Thank you to all my generous donors so far. 🙏🙏🙏
Day 13 - 73K completed so far! 🎊🎉✨️😁🙃🌟🤩
About three quarters of the way to my 99K target now! Feeling pretty tired but satisfied 😁🤩🌟🎉
DAY 10 - 65K completed ✨️🎊🎉🌟🤩
Day 6 - Halfway home! 🎊✨️🎉🎈🌟
I've reached the halfway mark today with a total of 49 K walked so far! Now owards and upwards! 🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕🦺🐶
Day 5 - 7K more!
I seem to be settling into a pretty steady rhythm of 7k per day at the moment. Wet weather but some lovely sights in the woods with all kinds of fascinating fungi: turkey tail, polypore, jelly ear, yellow brain... 💚
34 K completed so far
Day 4 of the challenge and I've now completed a total of 34 K! Enjoying getting out into the local woods, farmland and lakes (though it is very cold weather!). Yesterday I saw a small flock of reed bunting foraging on the ground together, which was lovely! 🐦🐦🐦
7 K Walked Today!
In the end I managed to walk just over 7 kilometres today. I was surprised as I didn't think I'd have the time but I guess the lighter nights are helping... It was nice to wander around the woods in the early dusk and listen to all the spring birdsong which seems to be starting up at the moment - all very early of course! I heard song thrush, robin, great tit, blackbird and nuthatch! It must be the mild weather

Great cause. Well done for caring about these beautiful creatures x
