I’m taking part in the 99k for Canines with Dogs Trust this February!

I’m making a positive start to 2024 by joining the Dogs Trust 99k for Canines challenge! I will be walking 99km throughout the month of February to raise money for all the dogs in their care.

The aim of Dogs Trust is to give stray and abandoned dogs a second chance at a brighter future with responsible, caring new owners. In 2022, they were able to successfully rehome over 9,000 dogs and cared for a total of 11,464 dogs (including those through their Ukraine quarantine scheme as well as police dogs working at the Commonwealth Games!). With your help Dogs Trust hope to continue helping more dogs in 2024 as the need for their services increases with the current cost of living crisis.

Last walk of the holidays … 7km around the woods with Bonnie! Totalling 118km so far, we will keep on going till the end of February! 🌳🐾🐶🌳

Fun Run with Bonnie and Luna Today… The girls enjoyed a run @rushton_meadows and almost ran 5km for their 99k for Canine challenge! Stopped for some lunch and a puppuchino for the girls after @thefoxandpeony!

Monday 12th Feb

💛 99k for Canines Update for the Dogs Trust 💛 We have completed 50% of the distance travelled before we have reached half way through the month. We have walked 53km in total so far of the 99km target! I hope to exceed this and walk beyond the 99km! We’ve got this! 💛🌟🐾🌟💛

We have walked 30k so far!

Tuesday 6th Feb

We have managed to walk 30k so far! This is such a great achievement, looking forward to the next few days to see how many more km we can walk! The rain and wind won’t stop us!

Another 6k Walked Today!

Friday 2nd Feb

Another 6k walked today… started with a paddock run jumping on and over obstacles! And then a trip to see the highland cows at Twywell Hills and Dales! I’m enjoying the start of my challenge and tomorrow I get to go to the beach with my bestie Luna! Follow for more updates!

What a great way to help support and raise money for all dogs in care within the Dogs Trust.

The 99k Canine page is setup, bandanas on the way and Bonnie the Collie is very excited to start her new February adventures to raise money for stray and abandoned dogs and allowing them a second chance at a brighter future in which they all deserve.

She has got some very close friends she is supporting in her journey including a few Collies. We all know dogs can be hard work but it has been proven for a working breed to be involved within a loving home it can take a lot of hard work and determination. They are bred to have strong working traits and have the instincts to herd and chase animals and objects and require a lot of mental stimulation and exercise to satisfy their instincts. This results in unfortunately a lot of Collies being taken to rescue shelters including the Dogs Trust simply because of their hard nature and behavioural disorders.

Bonnie would like to support her fellow Collie friends in receiving the help and support they need in allowing them to be given a second chance in life they deserve and stand out with their own characteristics.
